Seniors with dementia may sometimes wander and become disoriented. Contrary to senior living residences that offer other levels of care, we are an all-memory care community without any unsecured wings. Consequently, your elderly loved one is always safe and never at risk of leaving unattended.
Dementia and cognitive impairments are often medically complex, meaning diagnoses include physical, behavioral, and neurological components. Our trained care staff includes a Director of Health and Wellness, Activities Director, and around-the-clock nurses.
Because dementia manifests in different ways, we provide customized care plans tailored around your loved one’s needs. By considering input from physicians, families, specialists, and seniors themselves, we create holistic plans that take both needs and preferences into account.
We fill our residents’ day with a guided routine – a mix of social, sensory, mental, reflective, and light physical activities that don’t overwhelm them, yet stimulate their brains.
We provide three meals a day plus snacks and beverages. However, we also work with registered dieticians and nutritionists to create a balanced and healthy diet for our residents.
We are centrally located in Mandeville, Louisiana, near a number of medical complexes and hospitals, such as Ochsner, Rapid Urgent Care, Lakeview Regional Medical Center, and Northlake Behavioral Health. For emergencies and regular appointments, treatment is close by!
